I was born in  Ogden, UT in 1958. I grew up in Moscow ID. I played football, wrestled, and ran track for the Moscow Bears. I went to college at Boise State, where I played and coached football. I graduated with a B.S. in 1982. I taught in Texas for 1 year, Glenns Ferry, ID for 7 yrs., and at Manhattan since 1993, where I also coached football for the first 5 years. I coached track some too. My hobbies are mountain biking, kayaking, running, lifting weights, reading good books, kite flying and gardening. My wife, Jean, is a teacher at Bozeman High. Our "kids", Owen and Finn (labradoodles and brothers), are a source of constant joy when they aren't digging up the yard or chewing tree branches and bushes or whatever:)   We also have a new feral cat with 2 kittens. They have Chinese names, Wu Ming(nameless), Wu Ah(little Wu), and Wu Pan(fat Wu). Jean has a tortoise called Shelly who is suprisingly smart and fast.
