The grade 7 - 8 or junior high program at Manhattan Elementary School operates within a seven period day. Students have three minutes of passing time between classes and the class periods are approximately fifty minutes in length. Manhattan Junior High meets all accreditation requirements for the State of Montana. Our staff is fully-certified and meets the "highly qualified" status. Our students' test scores on both Montana Criterion Reference Test (CRT) and Iowa Test of Basic Skills have been above both the state and national average. The junior high students have the opportunity to participate in a number of extra-curricular activities including football, boys and girls' basketball, girls' volleyball, cross-country, and track.
